Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour – heat-treated (see notes)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup melted butter – or coconut oil for dairy-free
- 1/4 cup milk – any kind
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips – optional
Instructions

Step 1: Heat-Treat the Flour
Spread flour on a microwave-safe plate and microwave for 1 minute, stirring every 20 seconds. This kills any bacteria and makes it safe to eat raw. Let cool completely.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the cooled flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and salt.
Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients
Pour in melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well combined. The mixture should be thick and scoopable.
Step 4: Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Eat immediately with a spoon, or refrigerate for 30 minutes for a firmer texture. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
